If you are a long-time user, you already know that Mealeez operates differently from other apps. We don’t just keyword match; we understand food science. When you tell us you are allergic to Milk, you don’t need to know that you also need to avoid Casein or Whey. Mealeez does that for you automatically. If you select Eggs, our engine knows to block Albumin, Lysozyme, and Ovalbumin without you ever needing to type a single scientific word.
We also know that allergies are rarely black and white, which is why our system has always supported granular control. Take “Beans” as an example. If you search for beans, Mealeez is smart enough to flag every variation in our database as an ingredient to avoid. But we know human biology is complex—perhaps you react to Kidney Beans but are completely fine with Green Beans. Mealeez has always allowed you to make that distinction, letting you mark specific ingredients as “Safe” even if they belong to a blocked group. You are in total control of the safety net.

In the past, setting up this level of detail could feel a bit like filling out a tax form. With Version 4.1, that changes today. We have overhauled the setup process to be as fast and intuitive as the technology behind it.
The new “Tap & Go” interface allows you to build these complex profiles in seconds. You can now tap once to mark an allergen as Severe or tap twice to mark it as Moderate. This visual system means you can instantly categorize your sensitivities without wading through endless menus. It puts the granular control we are famous for—like that Beans exception—right at your fingertips from the moment you launch the app.
A Friendlier Experience
We have also wrapped this powerful technology in a brand-new look. We’ve introduced a cast of over 15 high-quality avatars, allowing you to assign a friendly character like a Peanut, Crab, or Celery to your profile. It’s a modern, polished touch that makes distinguishing between family members instantly recognizable.
Speaking of family, here’s a quick reminder that sharing this powerful data is completely seamless. With our Access Code system, you can link your detailed allergy profile to a partner or caregiver’s device instantly. No more manual setup on multiple phones; just generate a code, link the accounts, and the full power of the Mealeez engine is synced across your entire network.
What’s more, with member roles, you can choose who can amend a sub-profiles details, and who can simply view a sub-profiles details. Has that persons allergy profile been changed? Awesome! Everyone who has linked to it instantly gets access to those updated details!
